On World Teachers Day, and every day, we celebrate teachers and give thanks for all they do to support students!

Teachers are the backbone and the heart of our education system. Teachers play a pivotal role in sharing the future by nurturing students, so they flourish!

First marked in 1994, World Teachers’ Day reminds us not only to celebrate teachers’ profound impacts on students’ learning, but also how teachers have and continue to transform education here and around the world. Our VSB is incredibly fortunate to have more than 4,100 teachers supporting students. Their expertise and commitment not only impact students’ learning. They have enduring impacts on their lives, on our community and on the future of our society. 

To all VSB teachers and everywhere: thank you for choosing teaching as your vocation. Happy World Teachers’ Day!!
