The SWIS Youth Services within our secondary schools support youth in pursuing meaningful employment and educational opportunities.
Meet new friends through activities during lunch and after school Participate in volunteer activities and leadership projects Practice English Prepare for life after high school Connect with Youth Workers and other community organizations Receive individual support |
Youth can enroll with their parent's consent. They can also be referred to the program when registering as new students with the Newcomer Welcome Centre (NWC), through the Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) and Multicultural Liaison Workers in their schools, or by teachers and ELL department heads.
