Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
The Vancouver School Board partners with BCIT to offer one term of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer program.
Program Details
This program is taught at BCIT Aerospace campus in Richmond. The full program is approximately 16 months and is comprised of four terms.
The School District covers the cost of tuition for one term (~4 months) ONLY. Students will be responsible for terms 2, 3 and 4 and the purchase of their own books and supplies.
Please note that students must be in grades 10 or 11 to apply for Youth Train in Trades programs. Grade 12 students may apply for Youth Train in Trades only if they can complete their program before they finish grade 12.

Course Contents
Students in term one will learn about; standard aviation practices; aircraft flight and structures; aircraft reciprocating engines and reciprocating engine systems.
