Baking & Pastry Arts
The Vancouver School Board partners with Vancouver Community College to offer the SkilledTradesBC Youth TRAIN in Trades Baking and Pastry Arts program.
Program Details
This program is taught at Vancouver Community College (Pender Campus) and runs from July to December, Monday to Thursday.
The School District covers the cost of tuition. However, students are responsible for purchasing their own books, materials and U-Pass.
Please note that students must be in grades 10 or 11 to apply for Youth Train in Trades programs. Grade 12 students may apply for Youth Train in Trades only if they can complete their program before they finish grade 12.

Course Contents
Students will learn basic baking preparation skills and take courses such as: Quick Breads, Various Pies, French Pastries, Cake Baking and Decorating, and Bakery Merchandising.
