Business Education
Killarney's Business Education courses provide students the opportunity to learn about a variety of career oriented subject areas. Learn the language and the basics of business in courses like Accounting, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Financial Management, Management Innovation, and Marketing. Learn how to use computer software applications such as MS Office, Powerpoint, HTML, Accpac, Bedford Accounting, and Corel Office, in Computer Skills, Business Computer Applications, Data Management, and Computer Accounting.
Grade 10 students can get a head start earning credits towards secondary school graduation when they select their Accounting 11 or Computer Applications 11 in Grade 10! Then, follow it up by selecting Grade 12 course either in Grade 11 or 12.
"Six" Career Preparation programs!
Killarney's Business Education Career Preparation work experience programs have a long and successful tradition and are options for Grade 11 and 12 students who want to investigate the business world prior to graduation. The Business Education Career Preparation programs include Accounting, Business Computing, Business Education, Entrepreneurship, Financial Management, Marketing.
NOTE: The Financial management Career Preparation option has special status with some post-secondary institutions. Students who complete this option and who receive a B-letter grade or better in Financial Accounting 12 may receive credit for a first year accounting course at Capilano College.
