Welcome to Killarney!

Our Grade 8 Parent Night is Tuesday, September 12th from 6-7 in the Auditorium. Please enter through the doors on Killarney Street at 48th Ave.  Parents of grade 8 students are invited to attend the Info Night to hear about their child’s classes, how to access and use MyEd, social media use, cell phone use, work/study habits and supports available at Killarney. We will also review how to contact teachers and how to report absences. We hope to see you!

Also, please join us for our Killarney Adolescents Online presentation on Sept. 25th, 2024 from 6-7pm in our Killarney Auditorium.  The presentation will cover topics related to screen time, mental health, affects on learning, and having conversations together about all the above.  Speakers will include a Killarney Vice Principal, Dr. Jenna Shapka from UBC who is the lead researcher of the CyberTeens project, and Mr. Todd Schleyer from the VSB Safer Schools Department.  All Killarney parents and students are all welcome, plus Grade 7 students and parents from our feeder schools.
